  1. It's no coincidence that the Charlemagne Prize, just awarded to Zelensky, was first given to Coudenhove-Kalergi. Zelensky's central role in the slaughter of a whole generation of young Ukrainian men, and the death of tens of thousands of Russians too, makes him a very apt recipient of this most toxic of prizes.
