@Zaabi I thought we were talking about Oman? What is so emirati about mega western malls for expats and tourists? Umm Al Quwain is authentic emirati culture. The political dissidents of the peninsula know a thing or two about things and people left behind in the oil boom for the rich and powerful vanity projects appropriating the trajectory of culture for themselves.

@shauncameron8390 everyone who don't want or can't drive or shouldn't have to yet normalized it by lack of awareness or available alternatives. Once upon a time, car owners were the minority, who soon monopolize everything to force everyone to have the "freedom" of chosing the car or the car, with bus passively tolerated since they go in the same way of removing alternatives to driving-related transport.
