It would be nice to have a proper democracy to rescue. But yes, she did the right thing on this report and did it well. Just a shame she is utterly wrong on so many other things. Jes Phillips was the ⭐!

@FattyOn2Wheels Did you listen to the conversation, I expressed compassion for the situation the young officer had found himself in many times.

Well said.
7
@barbarahalkyard1901 The ruling party, duh!
6
@mintywebb It's part of the agreement that created the Irish republic and Northern Ireland back in 1921.
6
@moshedayan6698 Your evidence for that is??? Or are unsubstantiated assertions more your sort of thing?????
5
@theodale6805 Starmer respected the rules of the debate and the moderator. Sunak did not. There is no question of Starmer being stumped, he was just being polite and following the debate's rules.
4
@edmund184 People manifestly don't want Reform, that's why they are polling less than 20% and only got two councillors in the local elections.
3
@barbarahalkyard1901 Should have said that then, shouldn't you.

@sophierobertson7938 1) lack of freedom of movement 2) lack of an ability to work freely anywhere in the EU. 3) the CEP has reported that 20,000 small businesses have stopped exporting to the EU since Brexit. 4) The OBR estimates there has been a 4% loss of GDP due to Brexit. 5) The UK is no excluded from the decision making processes of our biggest export market. Brexit was like shooting ourselves in the head.
3
@waywardson9972 Do you honestly think in 4-5 years the economy will have grown by enough to warrant a £168billion tax cut - cloud cuckoo and Lala land together if you think so.
3
"Looks"?????????????

Faridge should be arrested for incitement.

Time for the Windsors to go, leaving their wealth behind.
2
But the ball was on the goal line, the goal mouth itself was a yawning chasm and the opposition were at the other end of the field waiting for Nanny to bring them a cup of tea after having half their team flounce off the pitch because they couldn't get people to believe their lies or didn't get the right kind of meat at lunch (I assume they wanted gammon). She could hardly miss, now could she?
2
@davidmccann9811 And unelectable.
2
@TroyaE117 Do you know why there's no NI fund building up over time?? The Tories blew it to pay for the Suez Crisis in 1956 and we've never been able to build it back up again.
2
@Max TheCat The unions ARE their members.
2
@Liverpool1ne Thanks! I'd made two or three comments so I wasn't sure which you were replying to. 🙂
2
@waywardson9972 The Office for Budget Responsibility. I think they should know, don't you?
2
@waywardson9972 They say they want to eliminate it starting after the next parliament. The key point is just how much growth is required to eliminate it. It's not credible on any realistic time scale.
2
@janicebirch7522 Well he didn't do so at first until he got fed up with Sunak being impolite.
2
I do quite enjoy people listening to people drowning in their own verbal diarrhoea.

'Bout normal for Sun(a)k.
1
@victormayomi6223 Bit difficult to have an election when 20% of your country is occupied by an invading army.
1
No, he invited under the guise of a question. If you don't know someone is on a watch list no one without an ulterior motive would ask the 'question' Faridge did.@UnitedDJ2024
1
Faridge is a liar. I'm not asking questions.
1
And yet it's also not - he's the ignoramus in chief - on everything!
1
@leehighland5435 1% in one opinion poll - funny how they don't express any concern about falling back in more recent ones. It's still not 'the people' though, is it?
1
@hunchanchoc8418 Well if 1997 is anything to go by they'll be very happy. The 2001 election was a repeat of the previous one.
1
MrWrath777 So what about all the polls that don't show Ref-Uk ahead of the Tories? There have been a number of them since the one that should them ahead by one. Also, you conveniently forget about the margins of error +/-2% on both figures. A single poll does not an election victory make.

The Daily Fail isn't a newspaper.
1
@iLAGnDC That is your assumption, nothing more.
1
@jacobcohen9205 So you didn't watch it then, or had the sound turned off! 😂🤣😂
1
@iLAGnDC You might do that (and I would do the same); however, there is no reason to assert anyone else would do the same. You are saying you know Starmer's mind better he does himself.
1
@Liverpool1ne What's common sense?
1
@jacobcohen9205 My dad is dead.
1
@waywardson9972 I partly agree, abolishing NI and shifting it in a neutral way to income tax would be less bureaucratic and simpler to understand.
1
@DavidEdwards-uf5lg 😂😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
1
Quelle surprise!
1
The £2,000 lie is based on Tory assumptions: garbage in/garbage out.
1
He'wants a Peace Prize because Obama got one.
1
What, you mean they are capable using synonyms.
1
Ref-UK - says it all.
