Garrett Earnest It's unknown actually how deadly this virus is given that it's at least a 4 week cycle from infection til death. It's not possible to determine the death rate until it's over and all the bodies are counted. As the virus wanes and numbers of new cases drop, you'll see quite a spike in deaths from those infected earlier.

They're going to be quarantined again in the US. They have no chance to live on board as the virus is spreading quickly in an environment not suitable for quarantine. The ship's crew is not medically trained or properly equiped and are increasingly infected themselves.

Garrett Earnest Do you have access to the stats stating the ages of the dead? Dr Li who blew the whistle was 32.

Ay Nano I wouldn't be so thrilled with that doctor, Tylenol is dangerous for children's livers. If a child has a fever, the body is trying to fight a microbe. I give extra vitamin C and D to help the immune system.

Garrett Earnest It's not a bioweapon. It's genome has been sequenced and made available to scientists worldwide.

They are going into a second quarantine.

Now that's a stupid remark

What a ridiculous idea to quarantine aboard ship! It's not a hospital with properly equiped trained staff and isolation rooms. Even in Chinese hospitals, staff has picked up the virus. The ship's crew has been spreading it from day one as numbers of them became infected.

I doubt Japan had 4,000 test kits. The people should've been removed immediately, just as they did with air travellers, none of whom were detained.

Not possible given the timeline.

There are a lot of stories. Few have verification.

There are a lot of stories and very little verification. There's no medical data anywhere suggesting a 24 day incubation.

@lambol1717 It's not unwise. They have a proper quarantine setup and medically trained and equiped staff, unlike the Cruise ship. Those quarantined in Western Countries have not spread the virus.
1
Seriously? With over 10% of those who were on board already infected?? Quarantine in the US and other Western Countries has resulted in zero transmissions.
1
@turnerwright What are you trying to say? If there's less transmission, there's less cost, no?
1
@turnerwright Travellers need to have adequate travel insurance. It's amazing how many people leave their country without adequate savings in case something goes wrong (like the tour company going out of business) and without full insurance that they've read line by line. That said, Americans need to vote in a government that will finally bring about a proper health care system, and also make lobbying illegal and severely limit campaign contributions.
