I will never take a Covid vaccine for a number of reasons including the "warp speed" development, the use of new and untested technology (RNA insertion), likelihood of ineffectiveness for seniors, and the simple fact that vaccines aren't tested against an inert placebo as it is so they're not properly safety tested at all let alone this rushed one. If you test one vaccine against another, or against a shot containing all excipient material, then if both groups show the same amount and severity of adverse events, you still don't know if it's safe. So far, the "promising" vaccines in stage 2 clinical trials show a disturbing amount of serious side effects and a rate of no more than 20% producing antibodies.

  2.  @originalkk882  That's the testing results for the Moderna vaccine, stage 2, on 45 healthy subjects 18-50 years old. But if you read news articles there was nothing but adulation, sending the stock price up, with no mention that only 8 of them produced antibodies.. but 3 had effects serious enough to be hospitalized. Does that sound promising to you? Funny how that part wasn't in the papers. It will take years, decades, to learn what the effects of the RNA fragments in the body are.

There is treatment though and unfortunately it's being actively suppressed by those with considerable power who are invested in vaccines. Check out the work of Dr Vladimir Zelenko of Orange County California. He's using hydroxichloroquinine (THE CORRECT AMOUNT) and zinc. He's treated over 800 patients and lost 2. Then there's Dr Andrew Weber, pulmonologist, using high dose intravenous Vitamin C in Long Island. Another very effective supplement is the amino acid L-Lysine.

  4.  @annwilliams6438  That's ridiculous. Those in care homes that were left to die are already dead. Those of us over 60 are taking precautions. I take 5,000 iu vitamin D and 4,000 mgs vitamin C. Also zinc, iodine, resveratrol and magnesium. I wear a mask while getting groceries or other very limited outings. I hike daily. I plan to start breathing exercises which apparently is very helpful if you contact the virus.

  5.  @ShyamadeepPrasad  Exactly, there are four passengers from the Diamond Princess still in hospital, in serious/critical condition. If you extrapolate that to the entire population, how many free ICU beds will there be by the end of the year in the US?

  7. How do you know they didn't already have Covid and therefore have antibodies? Speaking to strangers on a subway can get you killed in some countries.

  10.  @prndownload  The wiser path is always to keep to yourself and not judge others. I too am dismayed that more people don't wear masks. We don't know however why that is. Some have medical reasons such as asthma or COPD.

  11. I live in Ontario and we've been averaging about 160 new cases per day for about 10 days now (population 14 million) and they're STARTING TO TALK about going to stage 3. The problem is the elephant next door. The border is within driving distance, including NYC. We're all very apprehensive should restrictions be lifted as they will be eventually and all our sacrificing may be for naught.
