  1. I started wearing a mask everytime I went to get groceries in early March, just as our Chief Medical Officer here in Canada told us they were of no use. She also told us in February that flights shouldn't be stopped from China because that's racist (she's from Hong Kong). Political correctness for her was far more important than stopping a virus and more important than Canadian lives.

  3.  @fabienneroure9995  Fabienne, she was co-author on the post SARS report wherein it was recommended to maintain 16 weeks of PPE for all medical facilities including long term care homes. Canada however sent literally tons to China in early February leaving us short. This report also highlights the vulnerability of the care homes and problems associated with part time staff working in multiple facilities. She knew. So that leads me to believe the PMO was conducting the response and political correctness was their priority, not Canadian lives, or even jobs.

  4.  @garp-cm7te  How long do you keep a mask on 24/7? I wear mine for grocery shopping an hour per week and I use a new one each time. Do you sleep with it on? Clean your nose with it? How is it bacteria filled and how does it restrict oxygen to any degree? Many trades wear them for eight hours of their work day as do surgeons.. they're not dropping dead, starved of oxygen.

  5. They didn't tell us early on because they thought we would buy up the available supply and leave health workers without. What they should've done is recommend home made ones until supplies became more available. It's frustrating when authorities treat people like idiots and lie. This makes it much harder for them later when they are truthful.

  6. You're lucky your Parliament is sitting. Ours in Canada is prorogued but hasn't sat in person for months as they did so virtually. Our prime minister prefers to pay attention to his hairstyle and socks than deal with the problems. He does like to give sole source contracts to select buddies though.

  7.  @squiggyg.8415  China hoarding them is absolutely no excuse for not maintaining a stock pile. Toronto experienced SARS in 2003, we were shunned by the world. We had 300 cases and 44 deaths. The post SARS report in 2006 stated we need to maintain a 16 week supply in health facilities. In 2015 it's one of the first things our illustrious Trudeau did upon election. He cut funding for PPE supplies. Then in February of this year he sought to curry favour with China (because they've illegally jailed 2 Canadians) and sent them literally tons of PPE to help them during the worst of the outbreak there. Then of course by March, we didn't have enough for our medical personnel. They finally sent us a shipment in May or so. It was all defective and unusable.

  8.  der Igel  So? It began in China, spread everywhere and the strain in Canada was from the US. It originated in China and when Tam was advocating to keep borders open, China had a huge outbreak.

  9.  @joshuacoppersmith  Fauci admitted on camera that the early claim masks weren't helpful was due to the shortage. Canada's Chief Medical Officer to this day won't admit she lied, she still maintains she's correct that a mask protects others from your microbes but you're not protected from others germs. Isn't that the most bizarre thing you've ever heard? A one way mask?🤣🤣🤣 But even if true, then everyone wearing a mask will all protect each other. But obviously a mask protects the wearer too, ask any dentist.

  10.  der Igel  There were RNA fragments found in Spanish sewage but that's no proof whatsoever that was from the SARS CoV 2 virus. The strain we had in the beginning in Canada was a mutation of the CCP virus. It has mutated a number of times which is common, but these are minor and scientists know it's still from the same source. CHINA.

  13.  @sandydennylives1392  Exactly, that's the whole point.. the selling of vaccines. I've never had a flu shot and I'm ,64. Why would I? I've never had flu. I won't ever get a flu shot so you can have mine. And whichever "warp speed" vaccine you so choose.. just remember after getting the covid vax you will likely be shedding the virus for some weeks so stay away from vulnerable people.

  15.  der Igel  Oh yes it started in China's wet markets and that's why the WHO were not allowed into Wuhan when they went there recently to "investigate". Either that or it was a Wuhan lab escape. Investigators weren't able to even meet anyone in person, all discussions were virtual so we in the west have no confidence in the so called investigation.

  18.  @allangibson8494  That's not surprising, everyone has guns there and anyone can buy them pretty much everywhere. Even openly carry them around in some States. But Kudos to America, herd immunity will arrive there much sooner than most anywhere else except for Sweden and Belgium.

  24.  @FishyFun57  I totally agree. The financial burden of all this on the younger generations is daunting. And lack of leadership seems to be a problem in a number of countries these days. Especially ours. I'm afraid of what's coming.
