We don't know the answer to the school situation yet but we will find out. Daycare Centres have been open in Toronto for over 6 weeks now and there's been no problems really. One staff member did develop Covid, but not via transmission from a child and there were no further cases at the facility.

Children develop stronger immune systems when exposed to others, keeping them at home is doing them no favours.

@lillyanna8432 Covid is going on in Toronto but DayCare Centres have been open for six weeks. Thousands of children have been at these centres for 9 hours and up for over six weeks. That's an undeniable result.
3
I don't. I know people in the health care field here and everything is very carefully documented and reported. The only cases getting missed are those who have very mild symptoms and are not getting tested, and the asymptomatic, which is quite a few. Same as anywhere. The death stats are totally accurate.

Someone travelled and spread the virus in New Zealand. The ship had someone onboard who was positive still.
2
The maximum percentage of Covid vaccine uptake has been estimated at 50%. I feel it will be even less.

I wouldn't worry, they'll be fine. They should take at least 3,000 mgs Vitamin C in divided doses and 3,000 mgs vitamin D3 and 30 mgs of zinc. Do that yourself also, but make it 4,000 as you're older and keep zinc at 30 mgs.

@eleson00 That's right Erland, that's what I'm saying. If a city this size can re-open daycare, other areas can do it as well. And to be honest, the greatest risk in daycare comes from families of health care workers. When the city opened up some emergency daycares in the spring for children of health workers there were a few outbreaks. One such facility had to shut down for two weeks because there were several cases among both staff and children. But now that the majority have reopened, many with some restrictions, it's been going really well. And Toronto is still getting c. 80 new cases per day. Which is pretty good for a city this size. I personally don't expect elementary schools will be a Covid spreader come Sept. Hopefully I'm not wrong.

Take L-Lysine, a total of 2,500 mgs divided in 2 doses for 2 weeks until your symptoms are gone. Do not consume any caffeine.

@clarejohnson9265 Right but as Dr Campbell explained, their vaccine is using a different technology, so I don't think the Sputnik is using stolen science.
1
@clarejohnson9265 No, there's only a few that are far enough along to be a candidate for intellectual property theft
1
@clarejohnson9265 Right. There are few in stage 3, as I said. And the ones that are, aren't using the design/ technology that the Sputnik is. So in my opinion, they have developed their own. Doesn't mean whatever they may have pilfered won't be used in their next one.
1
@essanjay8604 In Toronto Daycare Centres have been open for over 6 weeks without any problem and no outbreaks. Only one staff member developed Covid but she got it elsewhere, not from the centre. And there are thousands of preschoolers in these programs. In South Korea the results are the same. Daycare is no problem.

@renmarkable7905 And education level.. the higher the level of education, the lower the vaccination rate
1
@renmarkable7905 You'd be surprised. My doctor hasn't vaccinated his 5 children. He's not alone.
1
@renmarkable7905 I disagree, he's the best doctor I've ever had. He's honest.
1
@renmarkable7905 Did you know there's a major lawsuit against Merck due to the continuous sales of their pertusis vaccine that doesn't prevent pertusis but merely suppresses the symptoms? That's right, those who're getting that shot believe they're immune, however, they can contract the virus and be infectious and aren't even aware of it and can therefore pass the whooping cough virus to a newborn. Did you know that the mumps component of the MMR vaccine doesn't even work anymore? (If it ever did). Look up the case if the USS First McHenry and the outbreak there among fully vaccinated naval staff. It happened in the National Hockey League too, in 2017 and these athletes, same as military personnel, are fully up to date with all doses of all shots. Don't even get me started about all the measles outbreaks in schools where children have medical records proving 100% vaccination of MMR after age 1 year.
1
Our Chief Medical Officer in Canada is saying that even with 2 doses a vaccine will unlikely stop the spread because people will still be infectious. They're anticipating only a reduction in symptoms given what the trial data is showing to date. They also anticipate only a 50% uptake of a Covid vaccine. I'd be surprised if it's that high given that it also will be even less effective in those over 60.
1
Did you get tested?
1
Advocatus Diaboli Being INJECTED with a substance including mercury is harmless?? ARE YOU CRAZY? I'll never take a Covid vaccine, I will continue to rely on my very robust immune system and I'm 64. I've never even had a flu vaccine.. why would I, I've never had flu!
1
Who cares? I'm not going to take it regardless.
1
Right, Communism in Russia is done. Now they have a dictatorship.
1
And Ivermectin
1
@LondonSteveLee Motorcyclists deserve what they get given the choices they make inspite of the information available. The gene pool will be strengthened.
1
NO VACCINE CAN BE PROVEN SAFE IN LESS THAN FIVE YEARS, EVEN THOSE FROM EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA
1
🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣
1
The gene pool gets strengthened. If some bikers don't make it, well.. not much loss imo If everyone stays away from them it should be fine.
1
How do you know that's where you caught it? I would buy some N95 masks
1
Do you know how many girls died in India during the clinical trials for Gardasil? No? NINE. It was marketed regardless because in the US, the pharmaceutical industry is indemnified for vaccine harm. Think about that when the pressure is applied for everyone to take their "warp speed" Covid vaccine.
1
@rijamor If your child is vaccinated then you have no worries.
1
@lillyanna8432 You also need to hope you're not wrong. We're going to find out soon what happens in schools in Canada, but we do know that many schools in the world are successful ly managing in class instruction, and we know Covid isn't largely a problem for those under 19.
1
@rijamor The teachers are vaccinated.. if they are not, for medical reasons, they're at risk for a lot of microbes and likely are not teaching
1
@rijamor If there are that many in the UK without the MMR vaccine, it's a perfect opportunity to study the health outcomes of both groups. What do those studies show? In North America health authorities refuse to compare the health status of adults or children that are unvaccinated vs those who are. Very curious.
1
@rijamor Did you know the whooping cough (pertusis) vaccine doesn't prevent aquisition of the virus? There's a large lawsuit in the US against Merck for that reason. That vaccine merely suppresses symptoms so if you've contracted pertusis, you don't know it and can spread it to your newborn, unvaccinated grandchildren and any vulnerable person.
1
@rijamor You don't need a shingles vaccine if you've had chicken pox, then received a "booster" naturally when your children aquirred it. Didn't you know that? In previous generations you'd get a second natural booster from grandchildren. Shingles didn't exist prior to the chicken pox vaccine. I've had chicken pox as did my children and I don't need that vaccine. Here in Canada we can get it prior to age 70 and there's many advertisements for it. Which is the raison d'être.
1
@lillyanna8432 Have you looked at what Taiwan is doing? You may find it interesting. They've not closed elementary schools at all, they've been open the whole time. In the entire country they've had less than 500 cases and 7 deaths. They've been wearing masks everywhere, including schools since January. Businesses stayed open too but borders are shut. That's how it's done.
1
@rijamor Only Canadian residents get the "free" tax payer funded health care, but you may come here if you're prepared to abide by a strict two week quarantine. 😉
1
@lillyanna8432 But these fears are not borne out by jurisdictions that have carefully and wisely opened schools. We're not talking of the US in that regard. Toronto had summer day camps running also, for children under 12, over 150 of them, and again, only one child developed Covid and it was contained. Now mind you these were small groups of children and most activities were outside and precautions were taken. But the sky didn't fall Lilly.
1
@lillyanna8432 Ah, we agree then! I also enjoy the debate and I'm sure we both are right in various ways as we all move forward together. Nothing is more important than our children ❤️
1
I doubt a vaccine eradicated small pox given that only 10% of the world's population ever got that shot.
1
@esecallum It's a scary thought.
