Taiwan didn't follow the advice of the WHO, fortunately, as none was given. Taiwan began seeing cases of an unusual respiratory disease occuring in returning travellers early in January and asked the WHO for information and advice. There was no reply from the WHO, so Taiwan mandated mask wearing and closed their border. That's opposite of what the WHO was advising for months to everyone else. Taiwan had only c. 440 cases and 7 deaths, all were returning Taiwanese travellers. Businesses and schools remained open. That's what all Western countries should have done and we wouldn't be discussing this now.

@samoak123 Tell that to the family of the 30 year old from San Antonio who went to a Covid party early in July and is dead now.

It's stands to reason many people haven't heard of anyone they know who got Covid, there are less than 4 million known cases in the US (a hard hit country) in a population of 350 million, including 142,000 deaths.

We blew it because we adhered to the advice of the WHO. Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong etc all began wearing and mandated masks and firmly shut borders.

@maxmuetze9083 But didn't Trump create the virus in his basement lab and unleash it in China?

You haven't been to the moon, but American astronauts have... and they confirmed the earth is indeed round🤫😉

Hacking is going on everywhere by all countries, don't be naive.

@Matowix I'm glad I have children and grandchildren.. they are a joy and provide hope and a reason for living

Airborne and aerosol transmission are two different concepts.

Bob Mama I'm not so sure.. they may achieve herd immunity before anyone else.

@salsabilmina9632 My mother used to always say... The sun will rise tomorrow 🌞 This expression always provides hope, no matter the situation.

@hestheMaster That's the biggest lie ever;. a mask protects others but it doesn't protect you. They told us that in the beginning because there wasn't enough PPE for medical staff and they didn't want the public buying it up. How is it possible for germs to NOT get spread out of a mask but that same mask lets all microbes in???🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And an odor is not a particle, of course you smell it.. if you haven't got covid

It's already being floated that a vaccine won't fully provide immunity, more like 30%, even less among the elderly. I personally won't be taking a "warp speed", experiment on the population vaccine that has only a few months of "safety testing".

ecwaufisxtreme No. There are many asymptomatic carriers who don't even get sick and many others who only had a minor illness.
1
@GOLEMUK The is an effective option, no vaccine is needed. L-Lysine.

@mastercommander4535 I don't take a flu vaccine and I've never had flu at age 64. The father of a friend of mine died from a flu shot however. The VAERs reports (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System) at the CDC records over 500 deaths from vaccination every year.

@DarthKookaburra I doubt very many had access to aspirin in 1918 🙄

@mastercommander4535 There is zero proof flu vaccine saves lives, that's an advertising slogan only. Hospital stats show the same amount of deaths after the flu vaccine was marketed. Consider the fact that it's not even 40% effective. Anyone I know who's taken it reports having gotten a worse flu than they've ever had after the shot. You must've missed the video by Dr Campbell where he discusses the published study showing that those who get an annual flu shot have a higher probability of dying when they catch Covid. Not surprising to me, I read a study last year that concludes people who get the yearly flu shot weaken their immune system.

Chas Maravel I think you've lost it dude

@Matowix Ah, they must be the exceptions.. maybe poor gene pool

Andrew Ongais The Covid response in the US is under the control of state governors. However, Trump made mistakes too, but not in recommending HCQ. That works.

@allangibson8494 We're doing the same in Canada. There is zero enforcement on quarentine, it's just a suggestion.
