So unless you never go anywhere (not even to the doctor or dentist) have groceries delivered, don't visit anyone etc, exposure is inevitable. It stays in the air for several minutes so if you pass someone infected, even with no symptoms, it will get into your eyes.

  10.  @ms-jl6dl  I don't live in a city, there's been very little covid where I live (not USA) and as a 65 year old, I doubt I'd be symptom free if I'd had it. My daughter is 32 and wasn't symptom free with Omicron, the mildest variant.
