I wouldn't be too afraid. The death numbers are going down. School children of all ages will be fine. People who are older are being very careful. I take 4,000 iu vitamin D, 5,000 mgs vitamin C, and 30 mgs zinc. Also iodine and quercetin. I wear a mask when I go to a shop and socialize only with close family. I'm 64 and unafraid.

@aprilapril2 Yes, true. It depends your country's health system. If the elderly are protected, so should the hospitals be. What's very sad is there's known effective treatments (HCQ, ivermectin) that are clearly deliberately being withheld so that vaccines can be rolled out.

That's why the younger people are accounting for a higher percentage of cases this summer and therefore fewer deaths. Maybe herd immunity is closer than we think, especially given that early on the case numbers were very unrepresentative of what was actually going on.

@popcornmaster1419 How are the hospitals? I believe most governments will not close again unless the hospitals cannot cope. If the cases are happening in those under 40, even with a rise in numbers it should be fine.

@popcornmaster1419 So the younger people will develop herd immunity for your population well before any safe vaccine can be developed. The Oxford AstraZenica vaccine trial has been halted due to a serious "adverse event" where the person is hospitalized. Take your vitamin C, D and zinc and be careful til the spring.
