I take 5,000 iu. It's what I need to take to keep my blood levels in the optimal range. Testing is absolutely necessary, I get mine done every year, that's how I was able to determine what I need to take.

What country? My young, new, Canadian GP said my levels were excellent and I could go higher if I wanted to, even though I was near the top. She said the guidelines are outdated and that's when I knew she's a keeper because I already knew that. I had done my research 10 years ago.

Some people don't utilize vitamin D well, especially seniors. Take more!!

@veramae4098 Take a serious look at Magnesium L-threonate, it would likely be of great benefit to you. Magnesium is indispensable for heart health (most people are deficient) and the amino acid L-threonate works wonders for anxiety.
