@konfu_ion UC Davis proved autism is not genetic. It can't be. Doctors treated a group of children with their own cord blood stem cells and remarkably 66% of them showed significant improvement. That's not possible with a genetic disorder. Autism therefore is caused by an environmental trigger.

@reaperz5677 Autism rates currently are one in 36, officially. My sister is a retired teacher. Early in her career there were no autustic children in her entire school but by the end in 2013 she and her colleagues had at least 2 per year. Interestingly, my daughter is 3 years into her teaching career and she's had 4 per year, as do her colleagues. All boys. Doesn't that frighten you just a little??

@sammuter6326 You're wrong. It was proven by scientists at UC Davis that autism is not genetic. Doctors treated a group of autisic children with their own cord blood stem cells and 66% of them improved significantly. That's not possible with a genetic disorder. The cause is environmental.

@harleyquinn5774 Autism is a very broad spectrum, as you know. You're clearly on the high functioning end and that's marvelous. Many others are not so fortunate. I was born in1956 and all through my entire years at school, in my community and my family, there were no autustic people. The first time I heard of autism was in the late 80s. Now there's at least 4 children on the spectrum in every class, ask any teacher. Something is wrong.

@harleyquinn5774 If you have these genetic markers, then the vaccines were the bullet

@jamesoneill2606 That makes no sense. You can tell yourself that in the fifties, sixties and seventies doctors didn't recognize most cases of autism even though it was all around them. That in itself is absurd. However, how do you explain the explosion of autism cases in the last 20 years? How about the last 5?? Look at the stats. The trajectory is almost straight up.
