  1. This happened to my son when he was 2 and strapped into an umbrella stroller choking on a plum pit. I was so flustered I couldn't get the stroller straps to release so I flipped it over with him in it, supported by one arm and I whacked his back with the heel of my other hand. I learned to do this in first aid class. At the third blow the pit flew out. No one in the crowded store even realized or noticed!
