There are over a dozen volcanos, and I made Mauna Loa have a perpetual eruption in Hawaii. :-) I had to research a lot for the map such as where snapper fish are found in the world, so I can make it as realistic as possible. Last night I put cataracts in the Nile since no one can actually sail without interruption along all of the Nile which is why Romans didn't take Ethiopia (until Italians did much later). PS Portugal did not discover the following: - Brazil (A Spaniard explored the Amazon first). - Western Africa south of the Sahara (Carthage got to first) - That the Atlantic is linked to the Indian (An ancient Greek figured out first). - India (Alexander slew his way to centuries prior). - China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia (Marco Polo knew about directly or indirectly). - Cape Verde (Italians hired by Portugal discovered) - The coast of Guinea (IBIDEM) - Somalia (Ancient Romans traded around) - Eastern Africa (Arabs and Zheng He explored first). And the caravel was thanks to Italian experts from Genoa and Venice hired by Prince Henry of Portugal, so Portugal is extremely overrated despite being overshadowed by others like the Brits who stole their entire trade routes while pretending to be friends. :-)
