@einsatzgruppencommander1184 Yes to Natives preferring the Spanish over the Aztecs (just as Natives preferred Spaniards over the British, and just as blacks escaping the Brits preferred Spanish Florida) but smallpox is EXCEEDINGLY overrated (and thereby vaccination). If smallpox were such a danger, the Natives wouldn't have been alive to fight. They would've been too weak or too dead to fight the Aztecs, being right next to the Spaniards. So... no. Tenochtitlán did not fall becaus of smallpox. that was minor. It fellb ecause of the siege leading to starvation.
