The construction of the railroads were subsidized by the US government, this happened during the westward expansion, during this expansion the railroad tycoons employed private armies of mercenaries to chase away settlers and to make sure that their labor didn't run away, they also used these mercs to fight other railroad tycoons and to fight natives, in the end it got so bad that the federal government dispatched cavalry units to maintain the peace. The US railroads are in a state of disrepair, the technology base has stagnated and the trains and the railheads are at the moment still using a 1970's tech base. Obviously some intervention has to be made in order to make them more profitable in the long term. Airports were also government subsidized and once again just like with the railroads the use of eminent domain was used to secure land for their construction, ffs man, read some history books. NASA developed the base tech for communications satellites, it was far too expensive for private enterprise to engage in such long term planning.

The market is unlikely to engage in long term planning due to one simple factor, the shareholders demand a quick return of investments due to the inbuilt flaw of using a fiat currency, this factor means simply put that it is not profitable to develop a scheme that generates high profit margins after a longer duration of time. That is why products such as houses, vehicles and other products are no longer manufactured to be durable, the return profit is low producing such commodities due to inflation caused by the artificially inflated demand for dollars.

The solution is simple and harsh, most of the retards in this video would become utterly obsolete because they are only consumers if this solution is applied, that is their only purpose in the economy, abandon the fiat dollar and they would have no currency to spend rendering them obsolete, they would have to begin from the bottom, no better off than the average Brazillian, therefore it won't happen, who's going to tell them that all they possess is practically worthless and expect these retards to agree to abolish the fiat currency. Create a currency based on a limited resource or net total production is the solution, this will of course reduce US GDP by 60%.
