Right now they only have to do this with the top party offiials who holds the pursestrings, without parties it becomes more difficult to manage and the corruptors are more likely to reveal their hand to the general public. Added bonus, the consultants will starve and begin to attach themselves to individuals instead.

  4. Irina Volkoeva. Yes they can bribe them, but it is harder to do so, with a party you only have to bribe a few at the top, with individuals they have to contact everybody individually, that makes it more complex and more difficult to manage and control.

Most people in Texas or Montana doesn't care about somebodys sexual orientation, it's a non issue for most, gun laws for them is more a matter of geographic isolation and distrust towards any government, would you trust the government that for decades hasn't given a fuck about you, that's why they cling to their guns. Solve the economic issues first and it will be a lot easier to convince somebody of the need for gun regulation. Most people in those areas despise the likes of Cruz, Rubio and McConnell btw, the Republican senators are a bit afraid of their base.

They are going with the likes of Bannon because they have no other viable alternatives and they loathe the Democrats, who wouldn't loathe them, they also loathe the GOP, something has shifted, Bannon talks of economic nationalism etc..., he's in effect promoting some left wing ideas from the right, Bannon is a nativist. Bannon is probably lying through his teeth, but on the off chance he's being truthful about desiring a measure of protectionism, well that's what the people in flyover country is praying for to happen. The people in those parts still have some holdouts in regards to not being too fond of gays, but not that many in comparison to the live and let live types. Economics is key, economic policies which are easily discernable and unobscured by legalese. A funny thing is, most of the Republican base acknowledges the existence of the petrodollar fiat currency, unlike the Democratic base which appears to be unaware of its function. And remember they are desperate for a viable alternative, otherwise Trump wouldn't have won.

  8. david crago. The old paradigm is dead, its most ardent advocates, the old guard media is trusted only by the dumb, deaf and blind. The Washington consensus is dead and so is the unipolar World dominated by one superpower, this a period of realignment and it was inevitable, the old paradigm had become static without no other purpose than to exist as some zombie half life staggering on tearing itself apart at the expense of those interests it derived its legitimacy from. The Democrats must either die or evolve into a viable alternative, if they don't evolve the new will completely supplant the old, there can even be a shift in which the Republicans become the left and the Democrats remain the staunch defenders of the status quo. Which is probably the path the likes of Schumer prefers.
