@elitalks258 That depends on what kind right or left is dominant, at the moment the right has far more people who are less inclined to support state power of any kind, the majority of the left at this point in time is pro corporate power, pro war, pro censorship, the right at this point in time is anti corporate to a certain degree(especially against media/tech corporate power), anti censorship and very much anti war. This shift may not be permanent, but it is a result of the left appealing too upper middle class voters and this segment of the populace always supports the status quo. You have the remnants of the actual left(social democrts especially) desperately attempting to change the narrative dictated by neo liberals, a new paradigm is bound to emerge at some point, but this requires that the neo liberals suffer a defeat akin to that which destroyed the neo cons on the right.

@elitalks258 Theory be damned then, the upper middle class proclaims itself to be left, but the upper middle class is always right wing because they always by default support the status quo because it's in their own interest to do so, so the "left" is now the "right".
