  5. You have to +do it the right way, you have to appeal to something that people can unite around, like that their livelihoods are threathened by a tax that makes it harder for them to make a living.

  6. Of course they are, what should have been done is taxing the oil companies by taxing their revenue directly. If that had happened the oil companies wouuld hav been busted workng as a cartel, that's illegal and the French government could fine them into oblivion.

  7.  @mehjones8008  California, 423,970 km2, pop 39,536,653 million. France, 551,695 km2, pop 65,167,000 million. Even California is pretty empty compared to France, it's practically a thinly populated area compared to Britain, Italy or Germany. Nevermind places like the Netherlands or Belgium, those places are packed.

  9.  @Vict0r1984  Moscow is comparable to Los Angeles, 18 million in LA, 17 million in Moscow, Europe is densely populated, the European part of Russia has a lot of people in it.
