IF Israel really wanted to get rid of Assad/ISIS (they don't- they don't particularly like him/them but he's/they are the type of dictator/theocracy Israel can live with) they'd have mobilized OWN army within Golan in 2011-12 and increase likelihood Assad/ISIS would have fallen.

The inclination to surmise that the underdog once in power wont behave like the big bad wolf is a tempting one, what will their leaders do if they have the power.   36. jakepv1 The Syrians and the Israelis playing games of chicken at border because there has been no peace treaty between Israel and Syria, both sides fired a couple of mortar shell at each other a month. Yes I have heard that before, but incident I attribute to the fog of war, fighter jets crossing your territory from a foreign country are easier to detect than 12 guys trying to sneak across the border to get behind Syrian Army lines. The leaders of ISIS have actual working brains, the Israelis would annihilate them, Israel is most likely from what I can see supporting some of the Kurdish factions.

To work the land how much does he consume, what tools to do it does he need, how is the return from that in resources(money) which all stem from that most important resource carbon does he yield. I don't know if there are secret societies guiding anything, I think that there are deals between factions, but the factions are not set in stone, they change sides, some abandon a faction to join another and they do it to safeguard their faction at the time and their personal stake in the system is which to say the direct benefits that acrue with power. Russia has maybe chosen to switch sides and partner with India and China in a gamble to be on the winnig side or have they more likely used the present crisis as blackmail for a bigger cut. Or that my sense of it from what i read.
