Amazing Grace, the story behind the hymn, a slaver is on deck during a storm and hears the prayers below deck muttered by the slaves, hears them crying out in fear and has an epiphany, they are also people he thinks and like me the are afraid of the storm, they are individuals like me and they know fear like I do, they are not simply unthinking animals and so he becomes an abolitionist fighting for the freedom of individuals like him and writes the hymn praising that idea. If the slaver had been a post modernist he would have been unable to reach this conclusion. Because they would not have been a part of his group and so the hymn and the idea within it would never have extended to the human beings below deck.

  2. Post modernists go further than equal rights, therein lies the problem, they hold the notion that all things are equally valid and that belief invalidates all progress or cohesion. As for Petersons beliefs, I'm not nearly clever enough to refute his points, but I believe in this, you cannot replace something with nothing and in effect the premise of post modernism taken to it's natural conclusion is nihilism since post modernism has no cohesive belief to order the world and the place of individuals in it.

  4. We are not all equal, but the state should treat us as such. I for-instance can walk and chew gum, this makes me superior in this one aspect to somebody in a wheelchair who can only chew gum.

  5. "1st you can dissprove what Peterson says cause nothing he says is a scientifically valid point at all. Nothing falsifable or testable. Only pure ideology." So is post modernism, no more than an ideology. "I am not sure about which postmodernists you speak about but Derrida's claim is that you can dissprove a claim only within it's own axioms. Therefore as long as my interpretation of the world does not include making me obstruct other people create their own interpreation of the world, than I should be free to interprate the world in this way." You are not free to interpret the world as you see fit because the world contains other actual human beings, the thought is not enough in itself. "I think every modern postmodernist would agrree that Science is an exception." This sentiment is a product of modernity, not the post modern. "Everyone should find an interpretation of the world that works for him without hurting the rest of us" Which is Utopian and as such we again hit the wall of reality, how to act in it when there is plurality of thought some of which does not share that sentiment, then harm can become necessary to safeguard the whole and the whole is based on the beliefs of actual people. Example: Cannibalism is wrong, why?, because it just is. Jordan on the other hand is using pseudo evolutionary psychology backed by no data(atleast he never presented us with the data) and some wierd absolute, yet unfalsifiable claims about the world. Neither does the post modernists, they too traffic in pure ideas.

  6. A Scenario for thought, thought of this while chopping onions(lol). Post modernist say cause no harm to others and I agree with this sentiment in theory, a bunch of people in wheelchairs agree also, alas the fact that I can walk hurts their feelings and causes them harm and so they demand that walking should be illegal, in fact they demand that nobody should have the use of heir legs... What should I do according to the post modernists, grant them their wish or resist by forcibly if need be. This is why post modernism is Descartes prior to leaving the oven and thus utterly pointless.
