Polygraphs are notoriously unreliable, an ungodly amount of people have been incarcerated unjustly due to this, many have been executed for crimes they didn't commit because of the unreliability of polygraph tests. But I realize that doesn't matter to you because it was mostly members of the cannonfodder gender who got the chair...

Evidence, so far it's all hearsay, it's kinda crucial when you want to prove who guilty and whos innocent, I know you morons who watch the TMZ of news are unfamiliar with the whole habeas corpus thing, but you might wanna read all about it, it's sort of the pillar of what constitutes a society of law.
