My mother would take my brother and myself, to the beach at Coney Island back in the early 50s. I rode on the parachute jump, two times in a row, in the mid-50s. I said I would never do it again. I crossed on the Manhattan Bridge hundreds of times, and the 59th Street Bridge. Riding on the, elevated train going to, Coney Island, Stillwell Avenue. Thank you for this post. Brings back great memories. Today is May 8th 2022. I will be 79 years, in September. Time flies, when you're having fun.

You did a superb job oh, the color and sound definitely Aunt added needed dimension. Thank you for the post I enjoyed every one of your clips, even though I did not appear on this Earth until 1943, but I really enjoyed seeing what took place before I arrive oh, it's very educational more people should look back and see where they came from. All these clips, prove that we are more alike than unalike throughout the world. People should start to realize that more and more. It's generally the government and the leaders of the country that caused all the problems throughout the world, such as World Wars 1 and 2 and possibly 3. Live and Let Live. Today is April 15th 2022.

@PeterPSea back in the mid-50s a helicopter blew up at the end of the pier. I was playing in the sand with my brother, I remembered hearing an explosion and looking toward where it came from and they were pieces flying all over the place. People by the thousands came stampeding over my brother and myself going down to the pier to see if they could help or just speak spectators. I still remember to this day January 19th 2023.

This was the. Of the end of the horse and buggy being replaced by the automobile. The sound is realistic great dubbing in and the color outstanding great job oh, really appreciate it. I was born in 1943 and I remember going on a trolley cars at that time, it would cost $0.05 to take a trolley car ride oh, I was living in bed Stuyvesant Brooklyn New York, and trolley cars I believe went up to mid 50s maybe early 50s. It seems as though the people were oblivious to the traffic moving around and you which way, no Prophet lights at all, very little litter in the streets oh, and the roads were made of cobblestone. Thank you for the Post. Today is April 15th 2022. How time flies

I remember it was very safe, you never had to worry about pretty much anything. You remember the ice cream man walking around in the sand selling ice cream? I believe at that time it was a nickel. In the women with rent those black bathing suits. People were very polite and considerate of others, that no longer exist today.

The parachute ride was great fun, I did it two times in a row with my cousin, but I would never do it again. When you get up to the cop in the parachute is released, you lose your breath. But the sites are well worth it. I can still remember looking across the beach area just before we hit the top of the parachute ride looking at thousands of people all over the beach like ants. Steeplechase was another favorite of mine I think it was a dollar, like gave you 10 different rides. It was a great amusement park everything about Coney Island was wonderful. You did not need a lot of money to go out for the day and enjoy yourself. Hotdogs at Nathan's were five cents for hotdogs, and I believe five cents for French fries. They would sell hot dogs by the thousands all day long. They were delicious. And the people serving them were very polite, and very efficient.

Another point I would like to mention. Very little litter is any. The baskets that were all over the place people would put their litter in the basket. People and respect for one another, as well as respect for other people's property. If they had garbage you put it in your pocket until you came close to a receptacle.
