  1. In my opinion the best drums made today are Ludwig, in North Carolina, they were originally in Chicago Illinois and moved South several years ago. They've been around for decades, their main competitor at one time was slingerland drums, I purchase one in 1958, 15x12 red sparkle snare drum. I still have it today September 28th 2022, and it looks like it just came out of the box. Mint condition. If you look through the vent hole you can see the date it was manufactured August 1958. It's the only thing that I kept with me since the day one when I received it delivered to my house until today it's been with me all this time. That's monroe, North Carolina where the factory is. They are open to the public if you choose to have a tour.
