Oh no, all that fresh water might desalinate the ocean and cause the ocean to refreeze in a larger area

@harkra I need to know what gas see, because carbon dioxide is plant food. What gases?

@harkra thank you for the information. Climate change is a constant evolution on this planet. The fact you are not using terminology such as global warming is the only reason we can discuss this further. Are you of the opinion that this methane gas released from thawing tundra and ice surpasses the other naturally occurring releases from sources such as swamps, bogs, the sediment on the ocean floors, and lake beds?

Miata Mike, I agree. This place is a thriving world when it's warm. Of course, cold periods are necessary to hold back the evolution of cold bloods. The cold bloods almost out developed our human ancestors.

@alistairewen9558 it takes between 5-15% of total air intake, depending on lung condition, to actually be affected by methane physically. The atmosphere consists of .00017% methane. Methane escaping into the atmosphere is necessary for many reasons. Here we will think of two. Methane helps absorb heat from our suns radiating particles, warming our planet. Otherwise we would be a snowball earth. Methane once oxidated, separates into carbon dioxide which is necessary for plant life, and water. The process of oxidation usually takes place in the area known as the troposphere. We exist in the troposphere, the same area clouds form. More methane in the atmosphere creates an increased potential for cloud forcing. Methane is Carbon with four molecules of hydrogen. Oxygen in a process I don't feel like explaining involves itself with CH4. Galactic and solar particles warming the CH4 while it dances with oxygen. Some believe a separate dust is necessary for the water molecules to collect and form, but not all of the carbon molecules attach to o2 molecules. Much energy is accumulated in the entire process with the sun being a major contributer of the electro magnetic cycle needed for the process we once thought of as evaporation and precipitation. It is all so complicated that any scientist of just one discipline claiming they know how it works is full of poop.

@harkra you have interesting points. We must also remember that the sun and it's system is not standing still within the galaxy. Include the number of humans alive and the carbon dioxide we exhale and our own flatulence of methane it all starts to be another rabbit hole. So many factors to climate change, including the natural order. Pollution itself is nasty and there can be little argument for continuing to be careless. At times when pondering the massive amount of information and contributing factors, I just want to dissolve back into religiosity. Only that too can lead a thinking person down rabbit holes😂 So I will continue observing scientific fact versus theory and hold onto a spiritual understanding of creator consciousness versus theology.

@medicalinterest9091 CO2 is plant food. Carbonated ocean? Do you know what chelation is? pH levels and nutrient or mineral availability and reactivity? Worry more about the raw sewage and nuclear leaks than CO2, which you exhale and why bags over your head are bad idea.
