  3. Remember when people were taught in school that plants take carbon molecules from CO2 out of the air? Plants can grow faster and larger with more carbon atoms. In the process they release O2. Oxygen. They also absorb nutrients from the soil, but carbon is the building block. Of course plants absorb nutrients from soil, but the carbon dioxide from the air is it's main food. Plants generally do not sink as they grow, why?. They are taking carbon from the air eventually dropping leaves or needles growing soil. Plants build soil while all others straight up parasite and destroy
