My company has not stopped hiring even thru this questionable pandemic. In 4 months only 2 people have applied. $1000 a week unemployment check keeps people from applying where businesses are hiring. Find something new and quit milking hardworking fellow citizens.

@43ShaDey most people do not go into the workforce understanding that they are selling their services to an employer. I am a traffic manager for construction. What I do is set up work zones and oversee flagging operations. Most people do not have the ability to do the job of flagging. It is most sufferable in all weather extremes to try and remain polite to the traveling public as a few choose to be careless and impatient. Sometimes under good congressional legislation flaggers even earn a scale pay that almost compensates them properly for their long hours of constant alertness to the dangers of their job. Capitalism is good if the people stand up. Pay me or get no services. For anyone else reading my comment, think about your own workplace when driving through roadwork zones. I do not come into your workplace carelessly waving around a weapon knocking over the tools of your business or verbally assaulting you with nonsense. Please respect our workplaces, your fellow drivers (our customers), and the tools we use to guide the public safely around the good men and women keeping America moving by updating and upgrading the infrastructure. Peace my people 🙏 but all I see is war coming.

Vicki McCune that money if used to pay employees on furlough, rent and leases, other vendors is a non-repayable loan. Thus, an economic stimulus. Portions not used for that must be payed back. It makes sense to not overwhelm state unemployment agencies when employers can more easily distribute a wage without coming out of pocket reducing company assets preventing future growth. Think about how much more it would cost for them to give everyone that extra 600 a week that keeps people from wanting to find work. So yes, I am fine with it. I noticed all the 30 day new car tags everywhere I go, bare shelves in Walmart electronics, and etc. Must be nice!!

@juombe where was the concern as they hogged down fast food and soda daily? Give me a break and refrain from commenting until you have a grown up point of understanding. Too many of us are very limited in our reasoning abilities due to the single fact of mass medias existence.
