  1. I have a copy of a Jordanian document and it's written there, and I quote: "Formerly Jewish property" and also the history of it. It was established in mid 19th Century by the Jews and was abandoned by them in the war of 1948. Why was it abandoned? Because of a Jewish convoy to the University and the hospital on Mount Scopus was attached by Arabs of Sheich Jarach and 78 Jewish Doctors, nurses and professors were massacred near these Jewish houses. In the document is also a paragraph telling that the Jordanians let in there houses Arabs and that they have to pay one Jordanian Dinar a year to the Jordanian Authorities. After 1967 the Jewish owners got the houses back but they didn't evacuated the Arab residents there. The Arabs payed the rent all over the years till last years when they were told by Hamas to stop paying the rent in order to provoke Israel and cause clashes. Most of them are paying the rent again now but there are provocations of both sides.

  14. To all the resins here. You see on TV a particular event but you have no idea what the background is. You see Israelis and Palestinians and it is immediately concluded that the Israelis are once again hurting the poor Palestinians. Learn the facts and only then you can judge. In short: How would you react if your tenant refused to pay the rent? The Palestinian Authority ordered tenants to stop paying the rent in order to provoke provocation against Israel. They where successful and you ate it with a big appetite.

In 1948, the Jordanians took it over and let the Arabs live there till 1967 when Israel took it back and gave it back to the legal owners. The Arab residents continue to live there and started to pay the rent to the Jewish owners instead to the Jordanians. Till a short while ago. Why? well, the Palestinian authority ordered them to stop paying the rents. As a result, the Jewish owners ordered to pay or to leave. The Arabs started the riots and you justify them. Now I ask you, what would you do in a case like this? Meanwhile many of the Arabs there are paying now the rent.
