  1. Israel never fought Lebanon. Israel fought there only against the P.L.O. and the Hezbollah organisations which bombed Israel from there for decads and caused many Israeli casualties. Please correct the title.

  2. Almost right. They were taked by Israel during the independence war, in October 1948 and were given back in March 1949 after signing a cease fire agreement with Lebanon.
