"Reading one page a day" - the right word is learning one page a day.

@themosinguy6508 That's fine. I study the Talmud (and the Mishnah) one page every day for about one hour. I'm doing it now for four years and I have only 3.5. years more to finish it all for the first time.

At Jesus time there was no Talmud, only Mishnah. Few years ago I visited a priest training school. I looked for their books and I found few short shelves with about 20 books on it. 20 book!? Comparing to hundreds Jewish books and even much more. There is a Theory why Jews were much wiser than Christians at the Middle ages: When an outstanding Christian boy was born, he was sent to study and became a Priest. Priests were not supposed to get married and there was no continuity for his brain. On the other hand young clever Jews married the daughters of the clever Rabbi's and their wisdom continued for many ages.

@endtimeslips4660 The Talmud is explaining the Mishnah and the Mishnah is explaining the Torah in short.

@themosinguy6508 You cannot read Talmud. You have to study it. As well as you cannot say that you are reading Mathematics.

@themosinguy6508 What made you think that I do not know what is the Talmud?
