@sacrificethatsaves I can speak only for Israel. 60% of it was a desert but now more and more farming is taking place there making the desert flourish.

@sacrificethatsaves I don't think so. As I told you, I'm speaking only from the experience of Israel. Since the 30's, when new Kibbutzim start settle in the Northern part of the Israeli desert, the desert is going Southward and the green color replaces the yellow one. Also from the part of the Israeli desert called Arava, dry plains, with salty water are exporting vegetable to Europe. Israel also export its Agriculture knowledge to countries in Africa, India and many other countries. Even to Egypt.

@sacrificethatsaves I'm not arguing about it. Still after building the Aswan Dam on the Nile, the farmers there are not using the Nile water as they did traditional way for thousands of years. Now they are up to Fertilizers.
