I want to go there for a visit as a tourist and not as a soldier who was there twice 40 years ago.

@phoeniciangod3629 I would like Lebanon to be a good neighbor as it was till the 80's. It was saying that Lebanon will be the second one to sign a peace treaty with Israel after one of the Arab countries will do. Unfortunately the inside problems of Lebanon prevent it till now days.

@phoeniciangod3629 I liked much more the Zahlawi Arak...

@26Alive Not Lebanese and certainly not Palestinian.

@26Alive Jews certainly were not. When the Sons of Israel took over this land in about 3,200 years ago, the Canaanites were one of the seven nations which lived there and were defeated by Israel. Lebanese lived as they live now, in Lebanon and the Palestinians are a modern invention.

@rachelsamuel3328 The Phoenicians had city-states all over the Mediterranean sea. Do you saying that the people of today in Europe and in North Africa are Canaanites?
2
@rachelsamuel3328 1. If you say so. What does it matter? 2. Jews are called that name after the Judhah that you mentioned. Rahab didn't marry Salmon (who is Salmon?) . Boaz married Ruth who was a Mohabi, not a Canaanite.
2
@rachelsamuel3328 How do you know that Rahab marries Salmon? According to the Jewish tradition Jehoshua Bin Nun married her, not Salmon. Besides, what do you want to prove by it?

@rachelsamuel3328 As I said before, according to the Jewish tradition, it was Yehoshua. You are quoting the Christian one as it is written in the book of Mathew. And yes, the Ottoman time in the 19th Century is the base to understand the history of that region. I always suggest people to read the history of the last 200 years starting 1831. How and why most of the so called Palestinian arrived to that region alongside with the first Jewish settlers before Zionism, and after, how the British caused the tension between the Arabs and the Jews, who was the first to call the local Muslim there Palestinian, how Israel was born and after about some decades the "Palestinian authority rejected Israeli offer to get back all the West bank to them. Twice.

@rachelsamuel3328 It's not in the Bible, it's in the Midrashim. I'll look if there is something in English.

Where did you take the idea of the Jewish people were Canaanites? I remember that God ordered the Israelites to kill the seven nations before they crossed the Jordan river into Israel.

@26Alive More then 90% of Jews have ME D.N.A. It was proven by this kind of tests which were done by any Jew till now.
1
@26Alive Since no one Canaanite is alive for 3,000 years, it's impossible to be proven. I think that you are looking for roots that you don't have.

@rachelsamuel3328 I looked for the source and found three of them in the Talmud. Here are the quotations: 1. "She was 10 years old when Israel left Egypt and she was a Prostitute for 40 years that Israel was in the desert and when she was 50 years old she converted." 2. "Rahab converted to Judaism and married Yehoshua ben Nun, the servant of Moses and the leader of Israel". 3. "She was converted and married Yeoshua".
