  4. in Germany we have a perfect train network BUT: - the trains are extremely expensive. I don't wanna pay $100 for a 500 km train journey if I can pay only $20 for the bus (which would take longer, but five times cheaper) - almost every long-distance train in Germany is late. and every time they provide stupid and ridiculous reasons for these delays (like the train is late because of a couple of snow flocks etc) Planes are sometimes the cheapest option to travel around Europe. You can easily fly from Germany to Spain for $10 one way (no kidding!). BUT the planes are exremely bad for the environment. but still the public transportation here in Europe is amazing. Just imagine: I don't know how to drive and I don't have a license! you can reach every small village by bus.
