  2. Jesus Ramirez Romo The USSR could’ve been easily saved. It’s a complete lie that it was destined to collapse and the only reason it did was because of Gorbachev and his capitalist ideas. Brezhnev didn’t help but the USSR was still a powerhouse during his time.

  3. Jesus Ramirez Romo It wasn’t unstable, just slowing. It was Gorbachev’s introduction of capitalism and the final move away from what Lenin established that led to the collapse. Gorbachev gave an opportunity to the west and anti Soviet nationalists which allowed them to make their move even when they didn’t have popular support.
