  5. jobama barack the crown had complete autocratic control of Spain but were overthrown by republicans, fascists led by Franco feeling nostalgic about the monarchy overthrew the government and the military replaced the democracy with fascism, the king ended this 50 years later once he was given more power on the request of the then just dead Franco and so took the opportunity to gain popularity and prevent the republicans returning to the country.
