  1. How would AI make programmers obsolete? A programmer writes a specification of what a computer should do. And if there is an AI, someone would tell the AI what they want to program and maybe how they want it to be done. The AI will just fill in the gaps with whatever it thinks is best, which probably isn't what you want.
