I don't even try to stop my (bad) habits most of the time. When I want to stop some habit, I just stop it. And sometimes I realize afterwards, I don't really want to stop my habit. I just feel worse than before without doing anything productive instead. I just have less fun, and replaced one bad habit by some worse one. I think what's most important to stop bad habits is something to do instead. For example doing sports every day. Or working on some projects.

I'm currently doing a 20% tactics instead of 90%. I don't watch videos of real people doing the extreme stuff I'm currently interested in, but I look at drawings, which are recommended to me in some social network. I wouldn't say, I try to resist. It's not hard. I don't really see a reason, why I should resist in general. I see a reason why I should resist the most extreme stuff: It's a waste of time and I often don't get enough sleep partially because of that. Besides that it's often not as much fun as I hope, so maybe it's more fun to transfer most of the responsibility to my fantasy again ;)
