I don't think, the real bad thing is following your temptations, but not having better alternatives. If you don't have hobbies, friends and other kinds positive relationships, a job you like, goals you want to reach, or a habit of doing physical exercise, preferably most of them, it's much harder not to follow any temptations.

But even if you would think, being forced by the government not to eat drugs is more free than eating drugs, you would agree, it's even more free, if you stay away from drugs without the government forcing you.

I think, drugs are not necessarily a bad thing. I'm not addicted to drugs, just to porn and (sweet) food. Drugs used carefully can be used to disrupt a lifestyle with bad habits.

5:00 (the image): This is a bit too extreme, isn't it? For everyone comes a day, where porn will be less and less stimulating, and other activities get more interesting again.

@ferret7508 Nothing addictive will necessarily make you less free per se. As long as you don't get addicted, it's fine, right? And some activities, which might be addictive to some people, might be beneficial to other people. What do you even mean by "end result"?

 @RANDOMNAME-kj1zv Then you have to learn yourself, how to resist temptations, when you need to. You would have to forbid many things anyway, not just drugs, to be effective.

@science_is_fake_and_gay2710 At least I don't get addicted to the drugs I use. Most of the time it's alcohol and coffeine, so nothing special. And both can sligtly change my daily routine. I might have a good creative idea, so I start a new project or continue working on some existing project, or I find a solution to a problem, which held me back for some time, and I get new motivation. (I mostly work on programming stuff, but also 3D modelling and writing sometimes) But I might also just get a bit out of control and eat more than else (especially when drunk), or get horny (especially after drinking coke). This might lead to a downward spiral, which I normally recognize after a few days and sometimes that's a starting point for a longer time of abstinence (from porn or (sweet) food, I never do drugs regularly, except on special occasions), but normally it's just a few days So I should not just use drugs too often, when I'm productive and in a good mood.
