  1. Open Source also is some term everyone understands, even here in Germany, where we could say „Freie Software“. For "free software" (price) I'd say „Gratis-Software“. But why should I use it? Noone knows or cares about the difference. They only care if you can see the code or not, and maybe if the license allows usage in your own project, which might not be open source.
