  2. The whole debate is just inhonest, people from both sides. For some time, noone knew about the risks of vaccines. Pro-Vaxxers just kept the risks of the vaccines mostly secret, so more people would get vaccinated. So when more people heard about the risks of vaccines, it was a shock to some. And if only a few people don't get vaccinated, these few people have a health advantage over other people since every vaccine can affect your health in a negative way. And when there are no dangerous diseases around, also because most other people are not vaccinated, not being vaccinated against such, won't be a problem. The rational decision for oneself in such a scenario would be not to get vaccinated, but tell everyone else to get vaccinated. So being an Anti-Vaxxer while pretending to be a Pro-Vaxxer. But as long as you can't get everyone to get vaccinated it might be safer to get vaccinated yourself.
