I’m a 27 year old female woke up one day stopped drinking and I’m so glad I did I’m at almost half a year without partaking in alcohol no hangovers! It’s amazing to see how many “friendships” were just drinking buddies.

I still have not started drinking again I think I'll hold out for a full year or maybe more. Though I still love hanging out at our local bars. I also get second hand buzz and enjoy being around town and running into familiar faces. The friendship comment is actually minor compared to what I've actually learned just about myself since Ive stopped drinking.

I did not plan on quitting drinking.. One day I took 5 grams of mushrooms, the next day I did not want to drink anymore. I did though have intention to increase my amount of positive days and feeling inspired in my small business. No hangovers has helped me in those areas and im saving alot of money. Im sure its different for everyone. It is though very interesting to quit in a world that drinks.

@owendigity1581 not ended at all... Its just some naturally faded and I don't see them as often we still are cool though Im cool with everybody in my town:)

@biglebowski3961 Yes the sober perspective is very interesting. i have gained other skills since quitting! almost to 1 year . stay gold.
