Do you think the northern boys would give their lives to free them? You don’t know what sports are like let alone war. And yeah. I read your comment. The Confederace could have simply given the Declaration of Independence to Lincoln and left. There’s a reason they didn’t try Jeff Davis for treason after the war — they thought they’d lose. Let me ask you — why are you any less cynical about the Civil War than the Iraqi war? Why are these things morally different to you?
