There’s a good deal of evidence that both Hitler and Stalin — who were both outsider immigrants to the places they ruled — both understood the menace of the perpetual parasitic outsiders who beset both countries. Have you ever noticed that Russians, Germans and Poles have always been somewhat at war with each other but all depicted Trotsky the same in their propaganda? My hunch is they both understood what was happening and it was a portent to what’s happening in America now.
