What’s odd is the whiter west is more vilified for their role in the slave trade than the Spanish, whose participation was particularly cruel and begun at all because they’d killed all the natives. America was responsible for just 3.5% of the entire transatlantic slave trade: you’d think by the narrative slavery only existed there.
