You should understand 1950s Mississippi was like it was because they were seeing then what you’re seeing now, right? What’s interesting is that anyone who looks any closer at America’s “history of Lynching” wonders why anyone would ever bring it up to use as guilt in the present. Very few of those men who swung, including the white ones, didn’t absolutely deserve it. There’s a reason those Lynching drew large crowds — it was the entire town consenting to what had to be done.
