One of my favorite refrains in America is when blacks say “I didn’t learn about that in school” as it pertains to some “black event.” Literally everyone around them chuckles because we all know they barely went to school and didn’t pay attention to anything on the rare occasion they did.

There probably were. They keep finding graves of people much further east than anyone expected much earlier than anyone expected. They find red-haired people in ancient burial spots all the time.

England didn’t have nuclear submarines until the Second Baron’s War; they only had coal-powered submarines in the late 11th century.

There’s no great stories about blacks. Look at your example — you cited a samurai simulacra as an accomplishment, very much like “first black person to” do whatever everyone else has copiously done. What is original about them? Nothing.

@ronnietexan Not true — various “esteemed” Muslim “scholars” travelled extensively through east and west Africa starting in the ninth century. They have almost nothing nice to say. There’s a reason I’m the first one telling you this. What they say is… extremely nasty.

Most of Europe was pagan until, in under a generation, they weren’t.

@charliegirl3056 Not willingly. Our small-hat friends have been pushing our saggy-pant friends into neighborhoods they didn’t build for generations. They attack the middle class — American middle class — because they aren’t big political donors or voters.

Pretty soon you’re going have to be careful not to say “Valhalla” with a hard “R.”

Vigroes. I much prefer that!

Birmingham has become one of the most homicidal cities on earth, per capita. Wonderful thing King did for all those cities he marched in and made famous, huh? Do any of them have a homicide rate that hasn’t gone up 723% since he marched there?

You mean the same god who gave us his one son, the lord and savior Jamal Christ?
4
@HistoryDebunkedsimonwebb Why ask when you can just feel? Dig a hole deep enough to get back to the BCs and put your hand it in, Simon. Can’t you hear the Earth, Wind and Fire sing “Let’s Groove”? C’mon, Simon. “Let this groove, get you to move, It's alright, all-all-alright.” Can’t you hear the Black Vikings?!

Tyrone the Terrible? Bluetooth Damarcus?

I’m embarrassed FOR HIM. His knowledge of the Vikings and Varangians was entirely walled off from the history of Vigroes. They could get the back of their boat to bounce in the back of the native hunnies be lookin’

Shaniqua Hardrada!

“Vigroes” is what they prefer to be called.

The called Harriet Tubman “Black Moses.” What was funny is that Tubman once said she went to so many slave quarters to follow her to freedom and, after giving it thought, the slaves decided to stay.
2
Black Africans lived naked in the dirt and sold eachother to Arabs, frequently eating the slaves the Arabs didn’t buy, until white Europeans made them stop. This is by no means exaggerated and by no means over. If that was your history, would you even bring it up?
2
They’ve got us trapped — the only way to defeat this is for white folk to start dressing like they did… but they were naked until someone found them and I don’t have that kind of body to show off anymore.
2
Eliziblackian Britain will soon be a period.
2
Going “whole hog” is extremely offensive and ableist to those who are only half hogs, bigot!
2
@TruthTellert63 Do NOT tell me that our lord and savior is not Jamal. It’s not Jamal? Really?
2
@notanumber1311 You’re not listening. Black people are keeping history alive!
2
All the Vikings Christianized, stupid. What do you think the Normans were?

My Cub Scout leader was an OK guy. Stevie Wonder kinda rocks…

@voltairedentotalenkrieg5147 Who invented those games and who writes that music? Almost every jazz standard was written by an Italian or Jew, and Phil Spector was more Motown than Berry Gordy. It’s all a simulacra. All of it. Google “NBA Champion, 1949.” Google “first jazz record.” Tell me what you see?
1
History bigot!
1
Right. Vikings are even like champage in that everything else is just sparkling white wine: the scandavians that pillaged in Russia were called Varangians, not Vikings, and they became the Rus.
1
How is their arrival any different? Foreigners on boats set to pillage and become parasites.

You sound so pessimistic and unimaginative. Rudolph the Onyx-nosed Reindeer it is!

Irony — Orwell didn’t say this. It’s apocryphal — it’s something he might say — but there’s no evidence he ever paired those words together on his own.
