“Hope” is a most ridiculous and backwards idea. To hope is to abdicate your own agency as a strategy and expect a third party to grant your deliverance.

@Ron P It’s easy for us to say, but imagine being him and surrounded by liars that threaten to kill him and throw him in jail for merely expressing that most scientific of qualities — doubt. Honestly, it’s possibly only his Englishness that kept him as restrained as he was.

I began to doubt him when he said Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a “great American President.” He was not. He was like Biden, he had a compliant press and shared their absolutely stupid ideas that drove American deeper personality not depression.
