@KemetledAfrica “White privilege” is an ad hominem attack. Some people only understand ad hominem with actual facts in return. The absolution of blacks of their role in the transatlantic slave trade is ridiculous. Every slave was chained first by another African, and Africans have always been exceptionally cruel to each other. That matters.

Indeed. There were no whites on slave raids. It wasn’t just because the natives shot at everyone and not because they’d catch their death from myriad bugs and snakes but because the Africans did all the work for them. The whites just showed up at the shore and that was that.

They were chattel, which seems subhumanly cruel, until you see any white girl take care of her horses. There’s a gentility and responsibility to it that is aligned with the way western women nurture children.

“Anachronism” will be a banned word soon.

@KemetledAfrica Exactly. Thank god for the west that used slavery so little and freed so many others from its universal clothes. You’re welcome!

@HistoryDebunkedsimonwebb So no difference to the serf or slave to the other. They both inherit new masters, and used at their caprice, the slave just inherits new land to work like the serf who has worked the same land all his life. Neither can leave — though the American slave could, and frequently did, earn his own manumission.

@tomcunningham9318 There is nothing less objective than race. It’s one of the few things in the world that is not a social construct. What you don’t understand or obfuscate about it is immaterial.

Unless it your business to destroy other people’s equipment, huh, General?

EVERYONE — Google “Jefferson Davis, slave” and you can find the actual recorded voice on YouTube of a black man from the 1930s who belonged to the Confederate president and recalled him fondly. As you listen to that former slave talk, the idea that blacks built America becomes objectively preposterous.

Google “motte and bailey fallacy.” You’re in the bailey and it’s such a basic bitch tactic.
