Atheism is objectively stupid. I knew Hitchens. I've heard every argument for that worldview and its so flawed as to be a worse theism. Atheism is a personality disorder shortly characterized by Orwell: “He was an embittered atheist (the sort of atheist who does not so much disbelieve in God as personally dislike Him), and took a sort of pleasure in thinking that human affairs would never improve.” Your certainty about the unknowable is odious and got millions of people killed last century.

@thefurrybstard1964 You "believe." Your claim to knowledge is solely based on faith, even the "not believing." You can not know about the metaphysical. That you claim to know is why you're repugnant. Your indignant attitude on the matter makes you a zealot. Your own language betrays you, stupid. When "believe" is your verb, youre in a religion, stupid. A true atheist would shut their mouth and not discuss god at all because you have to confirm him to deny him. But you don't have that wisdom or insight. You just have a personality disorder. I wish you low-IQ people understood your own sophistry. But then you wouldn't be on the internet espousing your belief, then, would you?

@fredneecher1746 Quite the contrary — Dawkins understands religion quite well which is why he's so dogmatic in his own faith without understanding the irony. Religion does that to a person.

Buddhism is still exotic to westerners, so they accept the Jack Kerouac white reinterpretation of it. Christianity is omnipotent and omnipresent to the point of nothing in the west, and Islam is the glaring contradiction of stupid and violent people who look different than we do.
