  1. Orwell on Zakaria: "There are some ideas so stupid, only an intellectual would believe them." I'd take him seriously if he offered the same critiques when the very same move was PROMISED by Obama, Bush, Clinton... That's why these opinions aren't taken seriously, and why there is a contempt for intellectuals - but not intellectualism. When he is wrong, he will not own up to it or bear responsibility. That's what makes him an intellectual and not someone who can actually affect change or policy.
